I have been listening to them “warming up” before the show, and I expect this to be a good one, I hope you didn’t miss this one!
If you are hungry, the barbecue brisket is hot and ready, and from the look of the folks eating, and there are always a lot of them, the food is as good as always, come on out on any Saturday evening and get a plate, visit with your friends, and enjoy some great music too.
When “Release Me”, a favorite Perk Williams song was played, the crowd went crazy, and as far as I could tell, they liked everything they played.
Jimmy Boedeker joined in and sang, by request, and added another bit of variety to the show. Then Gene Barber, known as the singing sheriff, took the stage and added his mark to the evening with “Bubbles in my beer”, and “Time changes everything”, also crowd favorites. When Tina Galbreath, from Rockdale, took the stage with her harmonica and energetic style. Gene Barber returned and sang “Faded love” with his brother Royce Barber playing fiddle, these guys are good together.
As a side note, the ladies that have their craft meeting on the second and fourth Tuesday every month, we’re having a little get together at the show tonight, look through the “I was there” pictures, you can’t miss them. The point being, the events at the Chriesman Community Center are all about fun, just hanging out and having a good time, so bring your friends and join us. Kids are welcome, look at Jake, he was practically part of the band.
Jimmy Maze and the Milano Playboys are getting better every show, and if you are in the Milano area, their shows are announced on the radio.
