Tonight the Burleson County Opry was opened by Roy Sanders with a few nice guitar melodies, then Jimmy Maze and the Milano Playboys took over with a variety of music including solos by many of the members, even a few others came up and took a turn. This week there were a couple of additions to the band for the Opry, Robert Stow, Sam and Donna Studeville, from Kansas The Milano Playboys are entertaining and they will be playing here the first Saturday of the month, every month, so come out and enjoy the show and get some of Don’s smoked brisket, and a soda, that alone is worth the trip to Chriesman, so come on out, there is live music every Saturday night.
The second hour of the show, Gabriel and Zane Matcek came on and brought a little bit different selection of music, a bit more upbeat, and definitely louder. This father and son team delivered an excellent show.
The Chriesman Community Center is dedicated to bringing you great entertainment, and a comfortable environment to bring your friends and family for a nice meal and music, there is no cover charge and the barbecue is only $5 for a sandwich with chips, the plate, which is brisket and sausage, with potato salad and beans, in my opinion, and from what I hear others saying, even better than the expensive restaurants, for only $7, so next Saturday come on out, it is only about 6 miles north of Caldwell on FM 1363, off hwy 36 N.
